A 3-star Mid-scale HOTEL and is composed of Ground + 6 floors + Roof. The Site is located in Erbil, Iraq- Ankawa road a well-known street in the city, featuring rooms and suites overlooking the main street. The HOTEL rooms and suites are stylishly decorated to reflect the quiet budget that clients pay and enhance their contemporary ambiance within.
The project comprises of the following: Ground Floor is developed around a lounge area, hosting the Hotel reception area, front desk, small bar, BOH services, and cafeteria facing the main street In the 1st floor. from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor include all the HOTELs(guest rooms) and the last floor is a small occasion hall.

Another challenge for us was to design the elevation in a way that suits our environment specially in summer, which prevent us form using a wide range of glass wall in addition to the expensive price of that material.
in our country, implementing such techniques (parametric design) with its material is not available yet. That’s why it was like a challenge for us to create such a façade.
We created this 3D shape in the elevation by using 2D Metallic plates (SMM) and cutting them into pieces with (CNN), then brought them on-site & assembling them again to reach the final result.

we separated a 2D façade plane from the building skeleton in order
to get advantage from that gap, for the purpose of maintenance
and placing AC devices.

There is a big contrast with the exterior, in terms of using curved and smooth lines on the exterior, straight and regular lines in the interior.
